W3N/LANDING PAGE
[May, 2024]
[1 WEEK PROJECT]
This project involved creating a logo and landing page for a Web3 company. The project consisted of two sub-projects: W3N and its sub-brand Web4.0. The client wanted the logo to reflect the name W3N while also highlighting the connection between the two brands. For the web pages, the client requested a blend of futuristic, vintage, and Renaissance aesthetics, with a specific emphasis on incorporating plaster elements into the design. Additionally, the client desired a consistent yet distinct style between the two pages, ensuring that they are recognizable as part of a brand series while maintaining individual uniqueness.
We decided on the following approach: For the logo, we presented three concepts—ranging from a more minimalist and contemporary design to a more vintage and elegant one. The client ultimately chose the more minimalist version. Both web pages utilized a dark red color scheme, plaster elements, and serif fonts to convey the Renaissance and vintage feel the client envisioned. To introduce a futuristic touch, we incorporated glass, metallic textures, and abstract geometric shapes. Regarding the differentiation and connection between the two, we saw the parent website as representing a more abstract and overarching function, while the sub-website appeared as a more tangible and perceptible project. Therefore, the main website featured a visual of geometric shapes colliding to symbolize the clash between vintage and futuristic elements, while the sub-website, themed "dream," showcased a plaster statue of a goddess to embody the theme.
